Why should you participate?
Clubs and Organizations on campus enrich the student experience by providing engaging opportunities outside of the classroom. The Red & White Day team would like to increase participation of students by showcasing York’s diverse student groups and their various interests. Your participation will help demonstrate York University pride through bringing your niche area to others' attention; highlighting the diversity of interests and talents within York. Activities are eligible for post-event SEED funding from SCLD through the following link: http://studentclubs.scld.yorku.ca/resources/
Deadline for applications is February 28, 2017. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Participation is voluntary and clubs and organizations are responsible for any expenses. Clubs and organizations are responsible for planning their activity and for finding volunteers to run their proposed initiative.
A panel of student judges will review each application to ensure the proposed activities help to increase York pride and spirit. Therefore, not all applications will be accepted for inclusion in the Red & White Day program. Confirmation of participation will be sent by Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Each club or organization that participates in this year’s Red & White Day will receive a letter of recognition from the Office of the President, thanking the group for their participation. Events and activities run by the club or organization will be advertised on the Red & White Day website and incorporated into our community outreach materials.
